Ageless Clinics

Healthy skin is is thick and plump with an abundance of fibres of elatin and collagen (proteins) in the deeper (dermal) layers of the skin.
The only way to induce new collagen to be formed, a process known as collagen neogenesis, is to cause stress in the dermal layers.
This can be achieved in a minor way by direct mechanical disruption- for instance needling of the dermal layers when injecting fillers such as esthelis or restylane.
The other way, proven by over 50 clinical papers and greater than 35000 histopathological samples is to use a fraxel laser to penetrate the dermis. The Fraxel Re:store Dual® laser is absorbed by water in the deep dermal layer and this trapped pinpoint heat causes a healing response… the skin remodels and new collagen fibres are made.
In the past the only way to penetrate to the dermis was with a co2 abalative laser- this laser actually vaporizes the skin down to the dermis.
This can provide excellent results but with fractionated co2 lasers, patients can expect downtimes of 4- 8 weeks with the added risk of infection and post treatment pigmentation issues.
Fraxel Re:store Dual®, a patented medical grade fractionalized erbium laser has changed the way in which doctors treat age and sun damaged skin.
The treatments takes twenty minutes, directly provided or supervised by trained medical practitioners in stress free aesthetic clinics.
